Towards the production of materials based on cellulose nanocrystals and nanofibrils by simple uniaxial thermocompression

The aim of the BIOLOOP project is to develop new ways of converting plant waste into bio-sourced materials, taking into account the noblest and most profitable use on a local scale, using the brewing industry as a model.

The PEPR DIADEM programme, funded as part of the fourth investment programme for the future, aims to accelerate the discovery of new materials, in particular by implementing artificial intelligence strategies. The BIA Unit is participating in this programme through one of the nine demonstrator sub-programmes: AMETHIST. This project focuses more specifically on polymer materials. More specifically, BIA covers the case of materials based on bio-based polymers.

SUSHYMAT is an ANR project aimed at developing new materials based on a novel biomimetic system, increasing their functionality by adding an inorganic component and studying their biodegradability.
