Secondary school students from the Lycée de la Perverie visited BIA's laboratories last February to find out more about the scientific professions. After a presentation of INRAE and BIA, they discovered 4 research teams in the form of workshops in the laboratories and were able to ask questions about the study path of researchers and the research professions.

On 3 and 4 October, the unit presented the job of research technician at the Place ô Gestes forum at Les Dervallières in Nantes. It was an opportunity to get young people interested in the world of research through professional gestures.

The 7th Science Forum was held on 26 and 27 April in the Dervallières valley. It was an opportunity for CM1/CM2 pupils from École George Sand to showcase a project they had carried out in collaboration with scientists from the Unit during a workshop entitled: ‘CHICHE? Discovering the proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and fibres that make up our food’.

9 science outreach projects launched at the start of the school year

Researchers from the Dispersed Systems Interfaces team opened the doors of their laboratory to a dozen secondary school teachers.

During the 2016-2017 school year, Adeline Boire participated in the "Research Passport" operation with a first class S of the Lycée David d'Angers.

The unit participates in integrated science and technology education (IST) in colleges.
