Methods and equipment

  • Sample preparation, biochemistry and extractive chemistry techniques applied to phenolic compounds and parietal polysaccharides.
  • Techniques for measuring enzymatic activities such as polyphenoloxidase and polysaccharidase.
  • Analytical, semi-preparative and preparative techniques for separating polyphenols: HPLC, UPLC, CPG, CPC, low-pressure chromatography.
  • Techniques for the detection and structural characterisation of phenolic compounds, with or without chromatographic coupling: UV-Visible spectrometry in microplates, electron impact mass spectrometry (GC coupling), ESI-ion trap, ESI-Triple quadrupole, ESI-QTOF).
  • Apple juice and cider production techniques: pilot plant equipped with washers, graters, various presses, filtration and centrifugation modules, controlled fermenters of varying volumes* (* equipment partly belonging to the IFPC but accessible to PRP as part of the UMT Résilicidre)

NB: most analytical equipment is integrated into the analytical platform P2M2
