Rencontre des équipes BOOST à Wageningen, mars 2024

On 4 April 2024, INRAE and Wageningen University, Department of Agrotechnology and Food Sciences, signed a five-year agreement to set up the International Associated Laboratory (IAL) ‘BOOST: design of Biobased (non-foOd and foOd) Systems for a world in Transition’. Bringing together scientists from the UR BIA Biopolymers, Interactions, Assemblies at INRAE and the Food Sciences Cluster at WUR, under the co-coordination of Claire Berton-Carabin, INRAE, and Karin Schroën, WUR, this LIA formalises a major collaboration between teams from INRAE and WUR aimed at developing new food and non-food systems that add value to plant raw materials and minimally processed ingredients.

The BIOMATA International Associate Laboratory (LIA) will provide fundamental and applied knowledge using plant biomass resources to develop bio-based materials for the design of the materials of the future. The research carried out is part of a circular economy approach, which minimises the ecological footprint of manufacturing processes and includes the end-of-life of products right from the design phase.

The GDR DUMBIO was created in 2021 as a successor to the GDR Symbiose. Its aim is to share know-how in the field of bio-based materials.

The UMT Résilicidre aims to carry out research projects in its areas of expertise, to deliver results (knowledge, technical itineraries, tools) that will enable operators in the sector to respond better to the challenges they face and will face in the future.
