Within the ISD team, we have a large pool of equipment dedicated to lipid analysis, enabling us to meet the needs of academic and industrial projects and of our national and international collaborators. Our activities in the field of lipids now cover several disciplines ranging from food science to nutrition. Thanks to our analytical facilities, we are able to analyse the lipid composition of a wide range of biological matrices: food, animals, plants, micro-organisms, etc. We are also able to assess the oxidation of lipids in or on food.

Technology and expertise

Thanks to our equipment and expertise, we can offer different extraction methods to limit the quantity of samples, optimise extraction yields and guarantee a qualitative lipid extract (extraction of majority & minority lipids and if necessary develop or adapt existing methods). Once the extracts have been obtained, a wide range of analyses can be carried out depending on the information required (lipid composition, fatty acid composition, identification of lipid oxidation markers, etc.).

The platform is accessible to all members of the unit and external collaborators.

Users of the platform finance the purchase of consumables needed to carry out their projects, and contribute to the maintenance of the equipment in the form of a contribution.
