RESILICIDRE

The RESILICIDRE Unity commended by ACTIA: Research aimed at creating a more resilient cider industry.

Following five years of collaborative research and a review deemed highly satisfactory by ACTIA, RESILICIDRE is paving the way for a new Joint Technology Unit dedicated to the adaptation of the cider industry.

As part of the long-standing partnership with the Institut Français de Productions Cidricoles (IFPC), the 4th cider-related UMT, RESILICIDRE, came to an end this summer. Over the past five years, the PRP team in particular, but also the PVPP, ELIPS and MC2 teams at BIA, have carried out collaborative research with the IFPC as part of several national and European projects exploring the diversity and reactivity of polyphenols in cider apple juices and the valorisation of cider by-products.

In its audit on 24 June, ACTIA described the results as highly satisfactory. A new project is currently being set up to build on this momentum and support the sector’s adaptation to climate change and the reduction in inputs: the UMT ADAPTACIDRE!
